How to avoid battery loss
1. Discontinuous start
To prevent the battery from discharging with high current for a long time, the start-up time cannot be more than 5 seconds each time, and the interval between two consecutive start-ups is 10-15 seconds.
2. Reduce the burden on the generator
When the vehicle is driving in winter, be sure to use the electrical equipment in the vehicle reasonably to avoid consuming the battery power when the vehicle power consumption exceeds the generator load!
3. Avoid installation
The original car’s electrical components meet the static discharge current required by the design after the car is locked, but the installed or modified electrical equipment often exceeds the required discharge several times or even dozens of times, resulting in increased battery load and loss of power. Therefore, it is not recommended to increase it. Installation/modification.
4. Turn off the power first and then turn off the flame
Develop a good habit of turning off the electrical equipment in the car and then turning off the vehicle to reduce the useless load of the battery, avoid waste of resources, and extend the service life.
5. No electricity after flameout
When the engine is not running, try not to use electrical appliances (audio, air conditioning, etc.) on the car, and it is forbidden to turn on the audio entertainment system, headlights, air conditioning and other electrical equipment for a long time.
6. Be careful when parking for a long time
If the vehicle is not used for a long period of time (more than 2 weeks), it is recommended to remove the negative wire of the battery; or, start the vehicle for more than 20 minutes every 2 weeks. In winter, the time interval should be appropriately shortened and the running time should be lengthened.
